Dr. Lingjuan Wang Li is a professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University. Dr. Wang-Li holds a Ph.D. and a M.S. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a B.S. in cotton engineering from Anhui Institute of Finance and Trade, China. She specializes in air quality and animal housing engineering. Much of her research addresses various aspects of air emission and environmental control problems associated with animal feeding operations (AFOs). Dr. Wang-Li’s projects include monitoring, modeling and mitigating air emissions from AFOs, study of fate and transport of gaseous and particulate matter emissions from animal housing systems, and mitigating environmental stresses for improved animal welfare and performance. She also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in air quality, animal housing and environmental management.
Dr. Wang-Li was a recipient of a 2010 National Science Foundation Career Award in Environmental Engineering, and served as a member of the USDA Agricultural Air Quality Task Force (AAQTF) from 2013 to 2017. She is a member of ASABE, AWMA, CIGR, Sigma Xi and served on various professional research committees. She was the Editor-in-Chief (2005-2008) of Agricultural Engineering International-the CIGR Ejournal; President (2009-2010) of Association of Overseas Chinese Agricultural, Biological and Food Engineers (AOCABFE). |
