The Chinese name is “国际动物环境与福利研究中心”.The English name is “InternationalResearch Centerfor Animal Environment and Welfare”,and the abbreviation is “IRCAEW”.
The InternationalResearch Center for Animal Environment and Welfare is established on the 21st of October, 2011, in Rongchang County, Chongqing city, China.
- Purposes
2.1 to fully utilize the research capacity of Chinese and International institutions, as well as the successful experience and management practices, and new technologies from other countries, to advance the knowledge of Animal Environment and Welfare worldwide.
2.2 to network and share information and resources globally to advance the animal environment research, and ultimately to improve farm animal health and welfare, productivity and production quality for the benefit of the mankind.
- Objective
To conduct collaborative research on animal environment and solve technical and practical problems in production systems.
- Participating Institutions
The Chinese institution is the Chongqing Academy of Animal Sciences (CAAS).
